In tasks like Essay Writing, the computer checks for structural accuracy. Use simple, clear sentences rather than overly complex ones where you might make a grammar error.

• Always leave 2 minutes at the end of every writing task to check for typos.
• Be consistent: Use either Color/Center (US) or Colour/Centre (UK), but never both.

Context is King

For "Fill in the Blanks," look at the words before and after the gap. Often, the answer is determined by Collocations (words that naturally go together).

• Practice common word pairings at Reading Practice 1.
• Manage your time! Don't spend more than 2 minutes on a single reading screen.

Protect the End of the Test

The most important task, Write from Dictation, is the very last thing you do. Many students fail because they run out of time before they reach it.
