Time Management for IELTS Academic Reading

You have only 60 minutes for all three passages, so timing is important. A simple plan can help you stay in control during the test.
  • Passage 1 – about 15 minutes
  • Passage 2 – about 20 minutes
  • Passage 3 – about 25 minutes

There is no extra transfer time in the Reading test, so you must write your answers directly and keep moving.
