Mini Test 3: Writing Intensive
Practice the two writing tasks required for the TOEFL iBT.
Writing Task 1: Integrated Writing

Time Limit: 20 minutes
Writing Task 2: Academic Discussion
Professor's Prompt: "Some urban planners argue that cities should focus on creating massive pedestrian-only zones, while others suggest that prioritizing public transportation infrastructure is more effective for reducing traffic congestion. What is your perspective on how to create more livable cities?"
Goal: Contribute to the online class discussion by stating your opinion and providing a reason or example to support it.
Time Limit: 10 minutes
Writing Checklist:
- Task 1: Did you capture the "debate" structure (Reading vs. Lecture)?
- Task 2: Did you contribute a unique idea or expand upon the existing discussion?
- Grammar: Did you check for subject-verb agreement and complex sentence structures?
